  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt together. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Once doubled in size, punch down the dough, then roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  6. Top with your favorite ingredients and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes.
