Classic Patty Melt

Your ultimate comfort food, combining a classic patty melt with turkey bacon for a delicious twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the onions until caramelized.
  3. Shape the ground beef into patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook in the skillet to desired doneness.
  4. Assemble the sandwich by layering the beef patty, turkey bacon, onions, and cheese between two slices of rye bread.
  5. Butter the outside of the bread and grill the sandwich until golden brown on both sides and the cheese has melted.
