- 2 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, combine the crushed cookies and melted butter; press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar and vanilla, mixing well.
- Add eggs one at a time, blending after each addition. Mix in sour cream and heavy cream.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until set. Let cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped chocolate cookies on top before chilling.
- Best served chilled after a few hours in the refrigerator.
