- 1 pound sashimi-grade tuna
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup tempura batter
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Fold in the diced tuna and green onions.
- Form the cooled sushi rice into rectangular shapes and coat them in tempura batter, then panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry the rice blocks until golden and crispy.
- Top each crispy rice piece with the spicy tuna mixture and a slice of avocado.
- Serve immediately with extra Sriracha if desired.
Notes
- For extra crunch, you can add fried shallots on top.
