2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons granulated sugar, for rolling
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, for rolling
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
Form dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
