1 pound ground turkey
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cubed
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 jar marinara sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped turkey bacon, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Take a small amount of the mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the mixture around it to form a ball.
Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
Once the meatballs are done, serve them warm in the marinara sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add fresh herbs like basil or parsley to the meat mixture.
Feel free to substitute mozzarella with your cheese of choice.
