Easy Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 jar marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped turkey bacon, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Take a small amount of the mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the mixture around it to form a ball.
  5. Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, serve them warm in the marinara sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add fresh herbs like basil or parsley to the meat mixture.
  • Feel free to substitute mozzarella with your cheese of choice.
