  • 1/2 cup red icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
  5. Mix in the green food coloring until the dough is evenly colored.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on baking sheets.
  7. Flatten each ball slightly and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool, then decorate with red icing to create Grinch faces.
