Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil, diced onion, and green bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground turkey to the skillet, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in the chopped turkey bacon and half of the provolone cheese, cooking until melted.
  5. Serve the mixture on hamburger buns, topped with remaining cheese.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • Can substitute ground beef if preferred.
