Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells Recipe

  • 12 large jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, spinach, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill each pasta shell with the ricotta and spinach mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover them with more marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with additional mozzarella and Parmesan cheese if desired.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
