Teriyaki Glazed Salmon Recipe

  • 2 fillets salmon
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the salmon, skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  4. Flip the salmon and pour some marinade over the top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until salmon is cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add to the remaining marinade and cook over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Serve the salmon with the teriyaki sauce drizzled on top and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add some chili flakes to the marinade.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed rice and vegetables.
