Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate, melted
  • 4 ounces milk chocolate, melted
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and sugar together.
  3. Add the butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold in the melted dark, milk, and white chocolate.
  7. Layer the mousse on top of the cooled cake.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger chocolate flavor, you can increase the cocoa powder slightly.
  • Don’t skip the chilling time, as it helps the mousse set properly.
