  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy, then remove and chop.
  3. In the same pot, add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add wild rice, chicken ham, thyme, and broth; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
  6. Fluff with a fork, season with salt and pepper, and stir in chopped turkey bacon before serving.
