- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides.
- Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
