Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

A rich and comforting creamy chicken noodle soup made with turkey bacon and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
  2. In the same pot, add the chicken and cook until browned. Remove and shred.
  3. Add carrots, celery, onion, and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, thyme, and rosemary, then bring to a boil.
  5. Add the noodles and cook until tender.
  6. Stir in the shredded chicken, bacon, and heavy cream, then season with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add more vegetables like peas or corn for extra nutrition.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
