Creamy Chicken Stroganoff

A rich and creamy chicken stroganoff recipe featuring turkey bacon for a cozy, indulgent dish perfect for any meal.

  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms, cooking until soft. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Add sliced chicken breast to the skillet and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine. Slowly add chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until thickened.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream. Add the turkey bacon back into the skillet and mix well.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles and season with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Pair with a side salad for a complete meal.
