- 3 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Gruyere)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the heavy cream, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
- Add the remaining potatoes, followed by the rest of the cream mixture and top with the remaining cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
Notes
- Let the gratin sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
- For extra flavor, add other herbs like parsley or chives.
