Irresistibly Creamy Cheese Herb Potato Gratin

A rich and creamy potato gratin featuring cheese and herbs, topped with crispy turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Gruyere)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the heavy cream, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  5. Add the remaining potatoes, followed by the rest of the cream mixture and top with the remaining cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • Let the gratin sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
  • For extra flavor, add other herbs like parsley or chives.
